What We OfferJoin the General Medical-Surgical team at Community Hospital of Stokes as a Respiratory Therapist II, where you’ll provide essential respiratory care to patients across a variety of clinical needs. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to work independently within your specialty while collaborating closely with physicians, nurses, and other members of the interdisciplinary team to provide safe, high-quality care.

8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m., Day Shift

Assess patient respiratory needs and provide appropriate respiratory care and interventionsPerform respiratory procedures including arterial blood gases (ABGs), bronchial hygiene therapy, and other prescribed treatmentsAdminister and evaluate respiratory medication therapies and monitor patient responsePrioritize care based on patient needs, changing acuity levels, and medical ordersProvide advanced respiratory support during critical and emergent situationsManage ventilators and assist with airway management, Code Blue response, and other critical care interventionsInterpret blood gas results and provide appropriate interventions according to established protocolsServe as a patient advocate and incorporate patient and family education into the interdisciplinary plan of careAssist with patient transfers and transportation as neededPractice independently within the Respiratory Care specialty in accordance with applicable standards and requirementsAccurately document respiratory care in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements What We're Looking ForEducation: High School Diploma or GED, required. 2 Year / Associate Degree, required. 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred.
