✓Active New York State Respiratory Therapist license.
✓Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential through the NBRC.
Certifications
✓New Graduates with RRT will be considered with References from at least two clinical instructors.
✓Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications through the American Heart Association.
Education
✓Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Respiratory Therapy
Bachelor of Science in Respiratory Therapy (BSRT) preferred.
Qualifications
✓Ability to work effectively under pressure and handle a variable workload.
✓Working knowledge of computerized software programs.
✓Night shift schedule (1900 - 0730), variable schedule, includes weekends, 2 on-call shifts per month, and rotating holidays.
Minimum of two years’ experience rendering direct professional cardio pulmonary care in a hospitalor healthcare setting, pediatric experience preferred.
Experience in Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) preferred.
Long Term Care experience preferred.
