✓Requirements
Licensure
✓Current Hawaii State license as a Respiratory Therapist.
✓Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
Certifications
✓Current CPR certification at the Health Care Professional (BLS) level and Advanced Cardiopulmonary Life Support (ACLS).
✓Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
✓If not certified upon hire, must obtain within six (6) months of entrance into position.
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification preferred.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field preferred.
Qualifications
✓standing, walking, stooping/bending, kneeling, climbing stairs, squatting, twisting body, finger dexterity, seeing, hearing, speaking
✓pushing/pulling weight up to 50 pounds
✓carrying usual weight of up to 40 pounds
✓reaching above, at and below shoulder level
✓repetitive arm/hand motions
✓static gripping of an object for prolonged period
✓frequent gripping of an object.
✓Occasional: sitting.
✓Operates ventilators, specialty gas delivery systems, treatment equipment, blood gas analyzers, syringes, computer, and copier.
Prior clinical experience in a critical care setting preferred.
