Licensure
✓Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) with the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
✓Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential within 6 months of hire
✓Licensed to practice as a Respiratory Therapist in the Commonwealth of Virginia
Certifications
✓American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification.
Education
Graduate of a CoARC accredited respiratory therapy program. Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy (BSRC) preferred.
Qualifications
✓You will practice respiratory therapy at the top of your license, caring for critically ill adults , pediatric, and neonatal patients across a wide range of specialties. This role blends hands-on clinical care with collaboration, learning, and professional growth.
✓In an average day, you will
✓Provide advanced respiratory care for patients with complex cardiopulmonary disease
✓Manage mechanical ventilation across medical, surgical, trauma, and specialty ICUs
✓Participate in interdisciplinary rounds with physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, fellows, and residents
✓Respond to emergency and rapid response situations throughout the hospital
✓Deliver airway and tracheostomy management in high-acuity environments
✓Educate patients and families as part of holistic, team-based care
✓Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and evidence -based practice
