Licensure
✓Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner (LRCP) from the State of Nebraska required.
Certifications
✓Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential required.
✓Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential by the NBRC within two years of hire required.
✓Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required, must be from an American Heart Association (AHA) endorsed program (effective for new hires starting January 1, 2023 or later).
✓American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advance Life Support (PALS) and/or Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) by patient care area/unit or department dependent required.
Education
✓High school education or equivalent required.
✓Associate’s degree in respiratory care required.
Bachelor's degree preferred.
Qualifications
✓Demonstrate effective communication skills required.
✓Ability to demonstrate initiative, teamwork, and flexibility required.
Based on position, prior experience in respiratory therapy preferred.
Based on position, the ability to demonstrate competence with all ages preferred.
Experience with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook Email preferred.
Experience with patient care equipment and supplies preferred.
Experience in electronic health record systems preferred.
