✓Team members who do not timely achieve a Registered Respiratory Therapist credential and valid New Jersey Respiratory Care license within 6 months of hire into this position will be subject to termination of their employment, but will be eligible for rehire into other positions for which they are
Certifications
✓The Respiratory Therapy Resident is an adjunct to the respiratory therapy staff and works to orient to Hackensack Meridian Health policies and practices while being provided the environment to cultivate skills and knowledge to pass certification exams required for RT licensure.
✓BLS AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). preferred
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). preferred
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP). preferred
Education
✓Diploma/degree in respiratory care or other relevant area of study that has been accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC).
✓Minimum of 2 or more years of experience in a CoARC accredited respiratory therapy education program.
Qualifications
✓Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
✓Proficient computer skills that include but are not limited to Google Suite and/or Microsoft Office platforms.
