CPAR or CHAA preferred
Education
✓High School diploma or equivalent required.
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Education, or a related field preferred.
Formal training or coursework in medical terminology preferred.
Qualifications
✓Additional experience in Healthcare Revenue Cycle Management, Patient Access, or Front-End Revenue Cycle Operations, Adult Learning Theory or Instructional Design, Training and Development, Quality or Process Improvement.
✓Minimum 1-2 years hospital-based patient access or 5 years hospital and/or ambulatory physician office-based experience required.
✓Experience supporting registration, scheduling, insurance verification/authorization, or financial counseling required.
✓Strong understanding of physician practice billing/collection systems, physician practice office flow, best practices and procedures
✓Technical and business analysis aptitude.
✓Strong verbal and written communication skills.
✓Customer support and service skills with a customer and employee focused attitude.
✓Strong analytical, problem-solving and evaluation skills.
✓Strong personal organizational skills and self-discipline.
✓Ability to multi-task.
✓Knowledge of medical and some IT terminology.
✓General knowledge of IT concepts, best practices and procedures.
✓Project a professional image.
✓Ability to develop, interpret and measure quality metrics and implement process improvement.
✓Identify and implement process improvement.
✓Ability to develop Symplr Modules.
✓Ability to work flexible hours as needed.
✓Revenue Cycle Optimization Educator
Prior experience in training, quality review, instructional design or front-end revenue cycle operations strongly preferred.
Experience in denial prevention, quality auditing, or revenue cycle improvement preferred.
