✓Requirements
Licensure
✓Currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing required.
Certifications
✓Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA) is required or should be obtained within 30 days of employment.
✓Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification from the AHA is required within six (6) months from date of hire to role.
✓Depending on the unit/department, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from the AHA, or other comparable certification as appropriate for the age of patients to be treated, may be required within six (6) months from date of hire to role.
Education
✓Associate's degree in Nursing with Eighteen (18) months of related experience required.
Qualifications
✓Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.
✓If job is in a free-standing emergency department (FSED) location, one (1) year of experience must be emergency or ICU nursing experience.
