RN Cath Lab (Day Shift!)

Job OverviewFairview is looking for a Cardiovascular RN in the Cardiac Cath Lab at St. John’s Hospital in Maplewood, MN. This position is 80 hours per two weeks on the Day shift (8am - 4:30pm) with flexible start and end times, on call 1 day a week and 1 weekend a month (must live within 30 minutes from Hospital).

Assist the physician in performing invasive cardiac studies, both diagnostic and therapeutic. ResponsibilitiesMaintains knowledge of, and complies with, all relevant laws, regulations, policies, procedures, and standards. Actively participates in creating and implementing improvements.

Utilizes nursing process by assessing, implementing and evaluating care given to assigned patients. Communicates accurately and effectively with patient/family and healthcare members regarding plan of care, nursing interventions and patient informationCoordinates care with physicians. Directs, coordinates and acts as a liaison for other health care personnel.

Manages and supervises other unit personnel as needed. Assumes charge nurse responsibility as assigned.
