Positions at Spencer Hospital are not affiliated with Avera; however, we collaborate to provide services to the communities we serve. Employment offers, if accepted, are exclusively with Spencer Hospital.
Provides leadership and clinical supervision of staff; including participating in hiring, training, coaching, developing and monitoring of qualified staff. Provides supervision in areas including: compliance, assessment, evaluation, and other clinical services. Responsible for making rounds on patients and staff to ensure patient safety and satisfaction and collaborates with all available nursing personnel to provide total patient care.
Participates in all assigned management, supervisory, staff and team meetings; attend in-service trainings and staff development activities as scheduled. Performs specialized tasks/projects and other duties as assigned, i.e. Performance Board monthly updates, QAPI, Language of Caring training, budget preparation, etc.
Participates in committees and serves as a liaison between department and providers. Demonstrates professional practice, knowledge, and skills and utilizes nursing processes to provide for the needs of the patient. Responsible for utilizing the nursing process to provide individualized nursing care in the ICU Assumes the responsibility for the outcome of nursing care during a specified work period Collaborates with all available nursing personnel to provide total patient care Must have knowledge of and utilize appropriate age-related patient protocols relating to the physical and psychological needs of patients
Must be willing to work rotating shifts Minimum of 2 years of recent ICU/Critical Care nursing experience CCRN or ENPC certification preferred Previous leadership experience preferred Active IA RN license Must maintain required certification to include but not limited to; BLS, ACLS, PALS and TNCC - inhouse education available upon hire
