Completes and documents initial and ongoing patient assessments based on population served Pre/Post Op nursing care to patients before, during, and after surgery Establishes specific, realistic and measurable goals. Develops an individualized plan of care/education for each patient/family upon admission. Initiates and participates in transitions of care in collaboration with hospital and community resources.
Collaborates with inter-professional team and updates plan appropriately. Implements nursing actions in a safe, timely manner. Utilizes appropriate technology to provide safe care.
Exercises clinical reasoning in care delivery. Implements physician orders in a timely manner. Manages emergency situations appropriately.
Implements patient and family education plan. Practices safe medication handling and administration. Collaborates with the inter-professional team.
Prep patients for procedure Set up room for sterile procedures Monitor patients during procedure Assist Surgeon during sterile procedure Minimum Education &
Associate's degree - ASN required RN surgical experience preferred RN License required BLS required If no surgical experience, RN will need to take peri-op 101 course within 8 weeks (60 days) post hire.
