RN Congenital Heart Clinic - HACU North Tower

Registered Nurse will possess knowledge and skills to provide patient-centric care in a physician�s office setting. Will provide clinical nursing assessment, act as patient care advocate, provide support, counseling, and education to patients. Will be responsible for patient case management and/or perform specialized procedures.

Will work in collaboration with other health care providers and ancillary services. Will direct clinical staff and maintain mandatory regulatory institutional policy and procedures under the direction of the Manager/Medical Director. May be required to float to other UFHP practices, as needed, for staffing.

Qualifications Minimum Education and Experience

: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing. Current RN license in state of Florida. BSN and professional nursing board certification preferred at time of hire.

All nurses hired after April 30, 2014 without a BSN will be required to obtain a BSN within three years of hire. All nurses hired after June 30, 2011 without a professional nursing board certification will be required to obtain a professional nursing board certification after two years of hire or at the certification eligibility date for those certifications requiring more than two years of experience. 1 year of specialty experience or 2 years of ambulatory care or hospital based experience as a RN required.

Person should display initiative, has the ability to be multitasking and be able to take on responsibilities. Proven ability to problem-solve and be a team member is essential. Motor Vehicle Operator Designation (Required): (Refer to CP 1.51): Employees in this position: will not operate vehicle for an assigned business purpose NOTE: A frequent driver is defined as one who uses his/her personal or Shands automobile a) at least once daily, b) at least five individual trips per week or c) drives, on average, over 150 miles per week in the performance of his/her job.

Licensure/Certification/Registration:: Current licensure by the State of Florida as a Registered Nurse. Basic Life Support certification required or must be obtained within the first month of employment.
