You’ll need
Licensure
✓Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
Certifications
✓Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association required.
✓Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification issued by the American Heart Association required within 90 days of hire.
✓Other certifications required as listed in the department-specific Plan for Providing Care.
Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) preferred.
Education
✓Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN) required.
✓If hired into position prior to July 1, 2020, an Associate Degree or Diploma Degree in Nursing required.
Qualifications
✓Minimum three years of clinical experience in adult intensive care or emergency nursing required.
✓Physical and emotional stamina to care for a variety of patients throughout the organization in one shift and perform patient lifts and transports with good body mechanics for all sizes of patients.
✓Able to work in confined spaces and skillfully adapt to a variety of clinical settings.
✓Demonstrates proficient competencies in emergency, critical care, intermediate and acute care clinical nursing.
✓Ability to apply theoretical concepts to clinical practice and continually expands knowledge base and clinical skills with a focus in critical care, sedation and patient transport.
✓Basic knowledge of healthcare regulations and accreditation required.
✓Exhibits professional behavior at all times.
✓use computer, printer and software programs necessary to the position, e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, electronic medical record, electronic event reporting program
✓troubleshoot and calibrate patient care equipment

About the role
Job Summary: The RN-Critical Care Resource Team (CCRT) is a highly skilled licensed registered nurse that functions in a fast-paced environment and is competent to provide all levels of care (emergency, intensive, step-down, acute) to pediatric and adult patients with complex medical conditions. Serves as a member of the Code Blue, Stroke, ST Elevation Myocardial Infarctions (STEMI), Sepsis and Rapid Response Teams.
