Job Summary and Qualifications The Trauma Program Director is a full-time position who works in concert with the Trauma Medical Director and hospital leadership to assure optimal trauma patient care services, quality outcomes, and compliance with local, state, and national standards for Trauma Center designation and verification What qualifications you will need: Current Florida license as Registered Nurse or Recognized Compact Licensure (subject to Florida State Licensing Requirements, including/not limited to ongoing eligibility and duration provisions) Bachelors Degree from an accredited School of Nursing Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification or must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification or must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date (RN) Registered Nurse Bachelors Degree Advanced Trauma Care for Nurse, or Trauma Nursing Core Course must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date Possession of a certified Trauma Room nursing (CEN) or Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certificate is preferred Three years of professional nursing experience in an inpatient critical care or trauma nursing area or trauma intensive care unit Background in trauma system management essential HCA Florida Aventura Hospital is 467-bed hospital.
