We invite you to join our 46-bed Definitive Observations Unit (DOU) at Scripps Mercy San Diego. We are the Cardiac Stepdown unit - our highly engaged nurses provide exceptional patient care in a compassionate, welcoming environment. The ideal candidate will have a minimum 12 months of RN experience with 6 months in an inpatient setting such as SNF, LTAC or Acute Care. Experience in PCU, Stepdown or Tele is preferred. Key
- Providing direct patient care within the scope of your practice.
- Patient care includes assessment, planning and implementing a plan of care, and evaluating patients' progress towards expected outcomes.
- Peritoneal dialysis treatments and administration
- With quality patient and family-centered care in mind, the RN takes primary responsibility for the patients' care as delivered by the Care Team under their supervision.
- Work collaboratively with other members of the patient care team to ensure optimal patient care. Weekend requirements consists of 4 weekend shifts per 4-week period. Registered nursing degree from an accredited school of nursing Current CA RN License One (1) year of RN experience, 6 months in Inpatient environment Current American Heart Association, Healthcare Provider, BLS & ACLS Certification Must be able to speak, read and follow instructions in English Must be able to demonstrate positive behaviors
