You’ll need
Licensure
✓Current state RN license or compact state equivalent required
Certifications
✓Basic Life Support (BLS) required within time frame stated in facility policy
✓Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required within time frame stated in facility policy
✓Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required within time frame stated in facility policy
✓Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) required within time frame stated in facility policy
✓NIH Stroke Scale Certification required within time frame stated in facility policy
✓Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) preferred or required within time frame stated in facility policy
Advanced Stroke Life Support (ASLS) preferred
Education
✓Associate degree in Nursing required
✓Graduation from an accredited Nursing Diploma program accepted.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Qualifications
✓Knowledge of emergency nursing protocols, trauma care, and critical interventions
✓Skilled in interpreting ECGs, managing IVs, and operating emergency equipment
✓Strong interpersonal, communication, and time management skills
✓Ability to adapt to rapidly changing clinical situations and multitask effectively
✓Proficient in EMR systems and clinical documentation tools
✓Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform extended standing, walking, bending, and reaching
✓Demonstrates professionalism, clinical judgment, and a commitment to continuous learning
✓Demonstrated ability to function under pressure and respond effectively to critical situations
Emergency nursing experience in an acute care setting preferred
About the role
The Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department provides direct and indirect patient care in a high-acuity emergency care setting. The RN utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation to provide safe and effective care for patients across the lifespan.
