Licensure
✓Current Montana Licensure (Registered Nurse).
Certifications
✓Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS).
✓Current American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within sixty (60) days of start date.
✓Current American Heart Association (AHA) Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within sixty (60) days of start date.
✓Current Trauma Nursing Care Coordinator certification (TNCC), or ability to obtain within one (1) year of hire.
✓In addition to the essential functions of the job listed below, employees must maintain timely completion of all required education, trainings, and certifications as assigned and in accordance with Bozeman Health policies, department-specific requirements, applicable certification program
National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) preferred
Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course certification (ENPC) preferred
Education
✓Associate’s Degree in Nursing.
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN). preferred
Qualifications
✓Demonstrate sound judgment, patience, and maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
✓Exercise tact, discretion, sensitivity, and maintains confidentiality.
✓Learn current and new computer applications and office equipment utilized at Bozeman Health.
✓Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
✓Analyze, organize, and prioritize work while meeting multiple deadlines.

Emergency Department, Urgent Care, or other acute care clinical experience preferred

About the role

The BSMC Acute Care RN works in a collaborative and cooperative relationship with other members of the health care team, plans and implements patient and family education, ensures patient safety and is responsible for assessing the needs and initiating appropriate intervention for patients.
