Description

Job OverviewFairview is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at our M Health Fairview Ridges Hospital location in Burnsville, MN. Fairview Ridges Hospital provides care for patients with many different acute and chronic diagnoses including, but not limited to, sepsis, renal disease, respiratory illnesses, overdoses, withdrawals, CVA’s, acute myocardial infarction, pneumonia and more. Our complex patients may require ventilation, continuous hemodynamic monitoring, and continuous renal replacement therapy.

This position is 0.6 FTE (48 hours per pay period),12-hour night shifts, with a schedule that includes every third weekend (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday). About the ICU at Ridges Hospital: Fairview Ridges Hospital in Burnsville, MN is a community based, 150 bed, level III designated trauma center. Our 12 Bed Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is a face-paced and highly technical environment where safety, quality, and patient and family centered care is established.

In our unit, you will also have the opportunity to pick up shifts. Free parking! As an ICU RN, you will be responsible for: Assessing patient needs and identifying expected nursing outcomes; Developing an individualized nursing plan of care; Implementing interventions as needed during treatment based on the plan of care; Evaluating care and patient response to interventions and expected outcomes; Using communication strategies to achieve desirable outcomes; Coordinating care with members of the health care team and delegating responsibilities to others as appropriate; Demonstrating the ability to advance care by applying standards, guidelines, care pathways, and continuous improvement to enhance patient outcomes; Promoting a culture of evidence-based practice (EBP) by participating in a multitude of available opportunities; and Performing these responsibilities in accordance with all policy, procedures, professional practice guidelines and the MN Nurse Practice Act.

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the assessment, planning, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care for all assigned patient population(s). The RN is responsible for performing these responsibilities in accordance with all policy, procedures, professional practice guidelines and the MN Nurse Practice Act. The RN coordinates care with members of the health care team and delegates responsibilities to others as appropriate.

Collaborates with patient, family and other health team members to develop a nursing plan as part of an integrated, comprehensive plan of careDevelops an individualized plan based on age, social and cultural considerations, condition and other relevant needs. Collaborates and communicates effectively and respectfully with the patient, family and members of the health care team within and across care settings to promote partnership-based health careDemonstrates the ability to advance care by utilizing standards, guidelines, care pathways and continuous improvement to enhance patient outcomes.
