About the role

Provides and oversees direct patient care in accordance with established nursing protocols, including vital signs up to every 15 minutes and physician orders.

Insertion and monitoring ofInsertion and monitoring of peripheral IV catheters, accessing and maintenance of chemports, appropriate use of PICC lines, central line dressing changes and lab collection from both peripheral sticks or central lines
Responsible for nursing assessmentsResponsible for nursing assessments, clinical notes and billing responsibilities
Patient education regarding thePatient education regarding the infusion process, medications, possible side effects, follow-ups and discharge instructions
Daily chart reviews toDaily chart reviews to check for new, incomplete or unsigned orders, results of labs and/or vaccinations required for certain medications and the appropriate follow-ups scheduled
