✓Requirements
Licensure
✓Have their RN license issued and NURSYS verified according to applicable state requirements no later than February 12, 2027.
Certifications
✓Maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC).
✓If BLS certification is active but will expire within 90 days after the program start date, it must be renewed by February 12, 2027.
Education
✓Graduate from an accredited associate degree or diploma nursing program recognized by ACEN, CCNE, or NLN CNEA.
✓ADN/Diploma graduates: Registered nurses hired into the Department of Nursing with an RN start date after January 1, 2019, must provide documentation of completing a BSN from an accredited nursing program within five years of their RN start date, as specified by program requirements.
Qualifications
✓Be a newly licensed RN with less than 12 months of RN experience by the program start date.
✓Be able to work a flexible schedule based on department needs, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts, as applicable.
✓Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.
✓Have experience working in a team environment.
✓Possess required computer skills. Previous experience with electronic medical record systems is preferred.
✓Be able to adapt to unpredictable situations within the work setting.
✓Demonstrate leadership, effective communication, and excellent critical-thinking skills.
