Monitors medical condition of patients and reports changes to appropriate personnel. Reports abnormal diagnostic data to physician/shift coordinator/supervisor as appropriate. Demonstrates ability to perform technical nursing procedures/skills of patient care competently, seeking assistance when appropriate.

Implements patient histories, assesses patients' conditions, and develops individualized care plans for assigned patients. Documents on care plans as patient care evolves, including resolution of problems. Assesses patient educational needs and barriers to learning.
