Fairview Hospital’s Progressive Coronary Care Unit (PK II) is a telemetry unit focused on providing excellent, high-quality care to cardiac patients. Caregivers in this unit are highly engaged and maintain a wide knowledge base with a special emphasis on cardiothoracic surgery, dysrhythmia management, telemetry monitoring, and heart failure. As an RN on this team, you will deliver exceptional care, throughout the patient care journey. - Being sets caregiver safety as a priority, identifying, reporting and responding to incidents and providing safety resources. This is a regular PRN position, with caregivers working a day/night rotation between 7:00 p.m. -- 7:30 a.m. or 7:00 a.m. -- 7:30 p.m., with weekend and holiday requirements. A caregiver who excels in this role will: Provide direct nursing care. Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record and communicate patients’ conditions. Note and carry out physician and nursing orders. Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs. Maintain professional growth and development through ongoing formal and informal education and clinical nursing study.
