✓Requirements
Licensure
✓Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New Jersey or eligibility to obtain licensure.
Certifications
✓AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
✓AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
Preferred skills such as advanced certifications and experience with multiple specialties enhance the nurse’s ability to manage complex cases and provide leadership in diverse clinical environments.
Education
✓Graduation from an accredited nursing program (Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing).
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree. preferred
Qualifications
✓Minimum of 2 year of Med Surg/Telemetry experience in an acute care setting.
✓Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
✓The required clinical skills enable the nurse to perform thorough patient assessments, administer treatments safely, and respond effectively to emergencies, ensuring high standards of patient care.
✓Critical thinking and adaptability are essential as the nurse transitions between different units, each with unique patient populations and care protocols.
✓Proficiency in documentation and use of electronic health records supports accurate communication and continuity of care across multidisciplinary teams.
✓Strong interpersonal and communication skills facilitate collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare professionals, fostering a supportive and efficient care atmosphere.
Experience working as a float nurse or in multiple hospital units. preferred
Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems such as MediTech. preferred
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. preferred
