Baylor Scott & White Memorial Hospital is a 636-bed specialty care teaching hospital and the only Level 1 Trauma Center between Dallas and Austin. Why Medical Telemetry? Our Medical Telemetry Unit is a 38-bed unit focused on providing a high level of direct and individualized care. This unit offers you with ample learning opportunities with a full spectrum of medical diagnoses and comorbidities. Our Medical Telemetry unit also offers:

• Emphasis on work/life balance We have a varied medical/telemetry population including:
• Sepsis
• Pulmonary Conditions or Respiratory Distress
• Chest Pain
• Infection
• Patients requiring isolation; including to negative airflow rooms
• Patients requiring skin and wound care including wound vacs
• Patients requiring scopes, thoracentesis, lumbar puncture, central line placement, paracentesis, angio-cath, pacemaker insertions and chest tubes.
• Enteral Feeding Tube Insertion and Maintenance
• Patients requiring Cardiac monitoring
• GI abnormalities
• Trach care

Qualifications Grad of an Accredited Program Specialized field of study should be nursing. RN license. Must have BLS certification or get it within 30 days of starting in this role.
