Coordinates the delivery of quality nursing care for patients from birth through the lifecycle, as well as operational issues during his/her shift. Provides clinical care as needed when census demands. Communicates patient care, departmental issues, and staff concerns to the appropriate leader(s).
Serves as resource for guidance and assistance to the staff. Responsibilities The staff nurse provides nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care for patients. He/she functions within the framework of the policies and procedures of the organization and demonstrates professional growth and accountability.
The staff nurse is responsible for maintaining standards of practice, coordinating patient care activities of all assigned staff in the provision of quality nursing care. Qualifications Education Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing Required Bachelor’s Degree Preferred Requirements and Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing
Active, unencumbered Georgia State Registered Nurse license or multistate compact license Required: BLS and ACLS certifications Required
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a Diagnostic Cardiology, Cardiac Cath Lab, Interventional Radiology, or Emergency Department setting
