✓Associate or Bachelors Degree in Nursing from a program accredited by Commission of Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (CNEA)
✓Associates Degree Nurses required to enroll in BSN program within 3 years of hire and complete within 5 years of hire
Current OHSU employees: BSN preferred
Qualifications
✓A minimum of 1 year as an RN in a Pediatric ED or Adult ED
✓New hires will be enrolled and required to complete during orientation
✓Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without accomodation
Additional Details preferred
Length of Orientation – Experienced Nurse preferred
External candidates: OHSU & Nursing New Employee Orientation (NEO) for about a week. preferred
Orientation experience for 6-16 weeks depending on the care area. preferred

About the role

The Pediatric Emergency Department (PED) provides a multidisciplinary service for pediatric and young adult patients ages birth through 19 years, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Care in the Pediatric ED encompasses level 1 Trauma entries, acute care for medical and behavioral illness and injuries. In addition, the Pediatric ED provides Observation Care for patients requiring anticipated admissions <24 hours.
