Perform the professional functions of a Registered Nurse in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care of patients. Coordinate, manage, provide and delegate patient care. Responsible for meeting the established Standards of Nursing Practice and promoting cooperation among the health care team.

Education and Work
Graduate of a school of nursing: Required One-year recent acute care RN
Required Licenses/Certifications: Current RN license in state of practice: Required Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required within 6 months of hire or transfer Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required within 6 months of hire or transfer AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring course required on hire and every two years for experienced nurses: Required Novice, or new to L&D RN’s will take the AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Heart Monitoring course during first 6-8 months of L&D orientation then AWHONN Advanced Fetal monitoring course every two years thereafter: Required Registered Nurse (RN) license in state of practice: Required Facility Specific License/Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS: Required AHA-NRP or ARC-NALS: Required
