Licensure
✓Current State of Texas license/permit to practice professional Nursing (RN)
Certifications
✓and Current American Heart Association BLS/CPR certification or within 30 days of hire
Education
✓Graduate of an accredited school of Professional Nursing required; Bachelors degree in nursing preferred
Qualifications
✓Demonstrates ability to maintain good communications; ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with employees, physicians, patients, families, and the public
✓Working knowledge of ICD9/10 and CPT coding and insurance procedures
✓Works primarily a pre-determined day schedule but occasional requirements to work evenings depending on patient care needs may exist; ability to float to other clinic practices as needed is an expectation
✓Principal Accountabilities
✓Delivers appropriate care to patients, at a proficient level; is cross-trained to competently care for patients from multiple services/specialties such as: CCC, Urgent Care, Urology, OBGYN, Mental Health, and other specialty clinics.
✓Meets treatment goals; develops/ implements discharge and/or transfer plans; evaluates the quality of patient care and contributes to the revision of standards of care; assists manager with employee related issues such as performance and serves as preceptor and charge nurse on the unit, as assigned.
✓Cross trains to perform patient access tasks, including: take messages and assist providers with return phone calls to patients and pharmacies appropriately.
