You’ll need
Licensure
✓Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Maryland or eligible to practice due to Compact state agreements outlined through the MD Board of Nursing required.
Current RN license in applicable state, current Basic Life Support (BLS), previous operating room experience preferred, Knowledge of aseptic technique, surgical procedures, and patient safety.
Certifications
✓American Heart Association (AHA) BLS required upon hire.
✓Must meet all unit-specific certification requirements (PALS, ACLS, NRP).
Education
✓Associate’s degree required.
BSN preferred.
Qualifications
✓PRN Work Responsible for providing comprehensive perioperative nursing care to patients before, during, and after surgical procedures. The OR RN serves as the patient's advocate.
✓Monday-Friday No Weekends, No holidays as needed
✓PRN shift requirement for this level is 24 hours in a 4 week period
✓One (1) year previous RN experience required.
✓Responsible for maintaining competencies required for the patient care setting; focus on advancing own professional development. Solid knowledge and clinical skills
✓Demonstrates highly effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.

✓Ability to learn and use computer systems in order to manage patient information.

✓Ability to demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and ability to assess data reflective of the patient's requirements relative to his or her population-specific and age specific needs.
✓Ability to demonstrate versatility and willingness to work within the PRN RN Standardized Program as set forth in assigned Unit Based or Hospital Based commitment levels.
✓Takes action to correct observed risks to patient safety.
✓Reports adverse events and near misses to appropriate management authority.
