- Title: RN – Registered Nurse – Cardiac Surgical Position Description: RN - Registered Nurse - Cardiac BayCare Health System is currently seeking a Registered Nurse to join our outstanding and compassionate Cardiac Surgical team at St. Joseph’s Hospital . As part of the community since 1934, St. Joseph’s Hospital has been a partner for continued health and wellness. The Cardiac Surgical unit is a PCU unit that receives post-surgical open-heart patients once they are stable from their CVICU stay. The RN responsibilities include: Independently caring for a group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards. Delegating appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team. Professional accountability and development. Performing the role of preceptor and charge nurse when assigned. Certifications and Licensures: BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification is required RN (Registered Nurse) license is required ACLS, NIHSS, and PCCN Certification is preferred
