You’ll need
Licensure
✓Current, active licensure as a Registered Nurse through the Ohio Board of Nursing.
Certifications
✓Obtain and maintain current American Heart Association (AHA) training in Basic Life Support (BLS) utilizing Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) is required.
✓Certification preferred for RNs meeting applicable certification eligibility requirements.
✓Obtain and maintain current American Heart Association (AHA) training in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) utilizing Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) is required.
✓Obtain and maintain current National Institute’s of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS).
✓Certification required within 90 days of hire.
✓Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification obtained and maintained, demonstrating competency in evidence‑based trauma assessment, intervention, and patient stabilization.
Education
✓Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
BSN preferred.
Qualifications
✓Training classes are proved by Trauma Services following orientation.
✓Complete required orientation for position.
✓Proficient computer skills to complete tasks as required.
✓Must be organized, able to effectively prioritize tasks and exhibit appropriate time management skills.
✓Must be detail oriented while focusing on safe practices and quality care.
✓Demonstrates effective communication.
✓Effective appropriate and professional interactions with colleagues/physicians, patients and visitors.
Membership in professional nursing organization preferred.
