Our state-of-the-art facility boasts a one hundred-million-dollar investment in our four interventional labs, five CTs, four MRIs, fluoroscopy, general x-ray, ultrasound, and nuclear medicine. As a Radiology RN, you will provide professional nursing care in a perioperative setting, circulating during invasive procedures and providing moderate sedation.

You'll collaborate closely with radiologists and technologists in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, specializing in neurointervention (including embolic stroke, arterial occlusion, tumor treatments, vascular access device insertion, biopsies, arterial and venous embolization/thrombectomy, and TIPS). This role requires meticulous attention to detail and sterile technique, similar to an OR setting. GENERAL OVERVIEW: This role Provides nursing care to the patient undergoing Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology procedures. Collaborates with the patient and physician to provide care.

ESSENTIAL

Conducts pre-procedural assessment. Participates in the care of patients undergoing Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology procedures. Provides proper documentation in accordance with hospital and regulatory standards and requirements.

Maintains a safe environment for patients during their Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology procedures.

Minimum Current RN PA license in good standing Minimum one year recent ICU or Radiology RN experience Must live within 30 minutes of Allegheny General for call Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate CPR – American Heart Association Current State of PA RN licensure OR Current multi-state licensure through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
