Registered Nurse (RN) Neonatal ICU/NICUFull-time Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together Work location: Texas Health Southwest, 6100 Harris Parkway, Fort Worth, TX 76132Mother-friendly designated, a Texas 10-Step designated, and a Magnet designated facilityWork hours: Full Time Nights (6:45PM-7:15AM) for 36 hours/week, with Weekend and holiday requirements; 1-on call shift per 6-week schedule.

Neonatal ICU/NICU Department highlights:· Self-Scheduling that helps with work/life balance as well as opportunities for educational and career growth· Robust Unit Based Council (UBC) and engaged leadership teamOur team is like a family with a newly expanded Level III Neonatal ICU/NICU unit with 16-beds – utilizing CPAP, Bubble CPAP, vents, and working with Feeders/Growers in our family-centered care unitHere’s What You Need· Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program OR Nursing Diploma required· BSN is preferred· One-year experience as a Registered Nurse (RN), or completion of an RN residency program required.· One year or more of Neonatal ICU/NICU Level III RN experience strongly preferred.· RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire Required· BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Required· NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 days is required· NRPA - Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program 90 Days Required· CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training Maintained Annually 90 Days Required

Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process· Assesses the patient· Plans the care of the patient· Intervenes as appropriate· Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions· Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.· Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information· Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
