To serve as a clinical expert, educator and operational leader within the Robotic Surgery Program at UAB Medicine. To integrate skilled nursing practice with program coordination to support safe, efficient and evidence-based robotic surgical care. To collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, nursing staff, sterile processing staff and administrative teams to optimize robotic surgery operations, ensure equipment readiness and promote excellence in clinical outcomes, education and program growth.
Qualifications Associate's degree in Nursing and two (2) years of perioperative nursing experience required. Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred. Two (2) years of experience with robotic-assisted surgery strongly preferred.
Demonstrated experience in leadership, education or program coordination preferred. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement. Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing required.
Currently certified with Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA) required. Currently credentialed as a Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) preferred. Robotic surgery certification/training (e.g.
Intuitive certification) preferred.
