- Weekend Shifts DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION Listed below are the four hiring ICU Departments accepting applications for these opportunities: Surgical ICU ~ This is a 16 bed unit. Patient population includes direct recovery for ICU surgical cases and liver transplants. Medical ICU . This is a 24 bed unit. Patient population on this unit includes medical ICU cases and Bone Marrow Transplant. Cardiothoracic ICU ~ This is a 24 bed unit. Patient population includes cardiac and thoracic surgery patients, vascular, heart and lung transplant, MCS, VV, ECLS, and TAVR. CCU ICU This is a 21-bed unit. Patient population includes acute heart failure, mechanical circulatory support, pre heart transplant patients and post-cardiac cath lab procedures.
