You’ll need
Licensure
✓The courses must be either approved by the Board of Registered Nursing or be administered by an accredited educational institution and the certificates must be obtained within six months of employment and prior to teaching in a training program
✓RN - Current and valid Registered Nurse license to work within the state of California required
Certifications
✓Free Continuing Education and certification including BLS, ACLS and PALS
✓Possess 24 hours of continuing education certificate(s) in planning, implementing, and evaluating education programs in nursing.
✓BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required
✓DSD - Certified Director of Staff Development required within 180 days of hire or transfer into position
Education
✓Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or graduation from an accredited School of Nursing required
✓1 year of experience planning, implementing, and evaluating education programs in nursing
Qualifications
✓2 years of experience as a licensed nurse required
✓1 year of experience as a licensed nurse providing care and services to chronically ill or elderly patients in an acute care hospital, skilled nursing facility, intermediate care facility, home care, hospice care, or other long-term care setting required
