$40.25 Job Purpose: - The Registered Nurse Supervisor in Psychiatric care oversees nursing staff and ensures the delivery of high-quality consumer care within a behavioral health facility. This role involves managing clinical operations, supporting staff development, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Key
- Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans for consumers with mental health and substance use disorders. - Supervise nursing staff and coordinate patient care activities. - Must have a functional knowledge of the Baker and Marchman Acts. - Administers and transcribe medications as ordered by the physician - Advises Nurse Administrator(s) in matters of concern to nursing care and consumer needs. - Familiarity with healthcare regulations and accreditation standards in mental health - Ensure adherence to policies, procedures, and legal regulations. - Address consumer and family concerns and facilitate communication.
Qualifications Required
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing required - Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Florida - Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred - Additional education and experience may be substituted at the discretion of the Clinical Director of Nursing. Required
- Minimum of Three (3) years nursing management experience in a mental health facility - Minimum of One (1) year in a supervisory position required.
