You’ll need
Licensure
✓Licensed as a registered nurse (RN) in accordance with Florida Statutes (F.S.), Title XXXII (Regulation of Professions and Occupations), Chapter 464 (Nursing), Part I (Nurse Practice Act) [includes multistate compact licensure].
Registered Nurse Assistant at Surgery (RNAS-C) credential from the National Assistant at Surgery Certification (NASC). preferred
Certified Registered Nurse First Assistant (CRNFA) credential from NASC. preferred
Certifications
✓Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) certified instructor.
Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) credential from AORN. preferred
Education
✓Associate degree in nursing.
Bachelor’s degree in nursing. preferred
Qualifications
✓Dedicated to CT Surgery, in collaboration with the surgical team (and others), participates in surgical patients’ perioperative assessments.
✓Assess patients’ and/or family members’ knowledge level; provides appropriate education to same.
✓Successful completion of a Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) program accredited by the Association of periOperative Registered Nurses (AORN).
✓Two (2) years of perioperative registered nursing experience.
Two (2) years of perioperative first assistance experience. preferred
