Encourages involvement of patient/family/significant other in decision making related to plan of care: .1 identifies patient/caregiver teaching needs .2 identifies patient safety issues .3 Identifies patient comfort / pain issues Performs the priority procedures for the assigned patients or areas safely - without causing harm legally - within the scope of practice and SMMC policy and in a manner perceived as satisfying by the patient and family.

Identifies actual and potentially unsafe care practices, initiates actions as appropriate to prevent or correct and reports in a timely manner. Job Requirements Required Current license as a Registered Nurse in the State of California.

Current basic life support (BLS) certification Current advanced cardiac life support (ACLS). Minimum of one year Acute Care Telemetry RN experience. Completion of a Telemetry class preferred Successful completion of a medication examination and satisfactory completion of department/unit specific orientation.
