EducationGraduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapist Program with Associates DegreeExperience / QualificationsRegistered Respiratory Therapist by NBRCCurrent Florida RT or TT licenseCRT is accepted, but must become a Registered Respiratory Therapist within 36 months from initial hire dateAmerican Heart Association BLS, ACLS, PALS Certification NRP Certified within 90 days from initial hire datePosition SummaryThe Registered Respiratory Care Practitioner will perform all respiratory care techniques in both critical and non-critical care areas.

They will assist and advise staff Certified Respiratory Practitioners. Duties will include but are not limited to the following: aerosol therapy, oxygen therapy, CPT, incentive spirometry, mechanical ventilation, arterial blood gases, pulmonary function testing, pulse oximetry, assist with fiberoptic bronchoscopy and perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical RequirementsThis job can be physically demanding at times requiring stooping, sitting, standing, and walking for long periods of time.

The team member will need to frequently assist lifting patients and heavy equipment. Must be able to work in a stressful environment, work independently, making sound decisions, detail oriented, alert, and self-motivated. Ability to push/pull up to 40lbs, carry and lift up to 50lbs.
