Education
✓International degrees must be evaluated for equivalency to U.S. standards if not listed in the International Handbook of Universities or World Higher Education Database.
A Bachelor of Science degree**** or higher in Safety, Safety Engineering, Environmental Health and Safety, Health Administration, Public Health, or Industrial Hygiene. preferred
The document should show the date the degree was conferred and be in English. preferred
Qualifications
✓A valid California Class C Driver License or the ability to utilize an alternative method of transportation when needed to carry out job-related essential functions.
✓Additional experience in excess of the Requirements.
✓If not in English, then translation is required.
Additional credit will be given to applicants that possess the following: preferred
Experience as an Emergency Management Officer*** in a healthcare setting. preferred
Experience developing emergency management plans as a member of The Joint Commission Environment of Care (EOC) Committee in a healthcare setting. preferred
Experience as an Emergency Management Officer is defined as: Plans and directs disaster response or crisis management activities, provides disaster preparedness training, and prepares emergency plans and procedures. preferred
