Process all medical documents into the patient’s chart. Obtain authorization and referrals for office visits and procedures. As a Secretary Medical typical day might include the following: Answering all telephones takes accurate messages, answers questions, and appropriately refers calls Ensuring patient information is correct along with parent/guardian information.
Obtain required information for visits and signatures Making sure correct insurance information is in computer along with collecting copay and balances due on accounts Providing patients with necessary documentation and appointments.
