In this role you will be: Monitor behavioral health grounds and interior spaces to ensure a safe and secure environment. Perform regular security checks, patrols, and surveillance via security systems or physical rounds. Check all patient belongings before entrance and document thoroughly.
Respond promptly to incidents, disturbances, or emergencies involving patients, staff, or visitors. Assist in de-escalating volatile situations using approved crisis intervention techniques. Monitor and control access to the facility, ensuring only authorized individuals enter secure areas.
Maintain accurate and detailed incident reports, logs, and shift summaries. Collaborate with clinical staff to support patient safety needs during interventions or transfers. Escort patients, visitors, or personnel as necessary.
Uphold confidentiality and HIPAA compliance at all times. Report hazards, security breaches, or maintenance issues promptly. Attend required safety and behavioral health training sessions, including CPI or equivalent.

High school graduate or GED equivalent
Previous safety/security experience preferred LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: Valid PA driver’s license BLS required or obtained within 1 month of hire
