Responsible for patrolling, protecting, and securing all Harris Health System's buildings and grounds, promoting safety and security at all locations. Promotes safety and security at all Harris Health locations. Responds to all crisis intervention team activations, prevents patient elopements, and assist medical staff with restraint of patients as requested.
Serves as assigned Mileu Officer in designated hospital areas. Work requires a continuously high level of awareness in the milieu in order to react promptly and effectively to emergencies, and visual acuity in order to detect suspicious activities. Work requires ability to physically intervene in medical and behavioral emergencies.
Work also requires exposure to risk of physical injury by assaultive patients.
