As a Security Officer, you¿ll play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of our patients, visitors, and staff across our facilities.
Role Overview As a Security Officer, you¿ll monitor Henry Ford Health facilities and properties to protect persons and property against injury or loss. You¿ll guide visitors, patients, and employees to appropriate locations, intervene to prevent disturbances, and ensure the right people are informed of incidents. Your role is critical in maintaining a safe and secure environment for everyone.

Monitor facilities and properties to protect against injury or loss. Direct visitors, patients, and employees to appropriate locations. Intervene to prevent and control disturbances.

Qualifications EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED), required. Preference given to: Hospital / Healthcare related security experience -OR- Prior law enforcement experience in a sworn capacity, (Local, State, County, Federal) -OR- Four plus (4+) years of military experience with Honorable Discharge May be required to use an intermediate weapon. CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED: Maintain a valid unexpired Michigan operator's license.
