Role Overview As a Security Officer, you play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of patients, visitors, and staff at Henry Ford Health. Your presence helps maintain a peaceful environment, allowing our healthcare teams to focus on delivering exceptional care. This role is essential in preventing and managing disturbances, guiding individuals to their destinations, and responding to incidents promptly and professionally.

Monitor Henry Ford Health facilities and properties to protect persons and property against injury or loss. Direct visitors, patients, and employees to appropriate locations. Intervene to prevent and control disturbances.

Qualifications EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED), required. Preference given to: Hospital / Healthcare related security experience -OR- Prior law enforcement experience in a sworn capacity, (Local, State, County, Federal) -OR- Four plus (4+) years of military experience with Honorable Discharge May be required to use an intermediate weapon. CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED: Maintain a valid unexpired Michigan operator's license.
