Associate of Society of Actuaries (ASA) or related actuarial credential preferred
Tableau, Power BI, SAS, or similar analytics certification preferred
Education
✓A Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, economics, business, finance, healthcare administration, mathematics, statistics, computer science, or related field and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
A Master’s degree in business administration (MBA), public health (MPH), health economics, statistics, analytics, or related field preferred
Qualifications
✓5 or more years of progressively responsible experience in healthcare analytics, healthcare finance, managed care, healthcare economics, decision support, or business analysis
✓Thorough understanding of decision support systems, business statistics, quantitative methods, relational databases, data modeling, and performance and profitability analysis
✓Knowledgeable in healthcare finance, financial planning, financial data management, reimbursement methodologies, and business development analytics
✓Applies experience analyzing healthcare financial, clinical, claims, enrollment, utilization, and operational data to support decision-making
✓Proficiency in developing and maintaining decision-support models, dashboards, and reporting solutions using multiple-data sources
✓Advanced knowledge of forecasting, trend analysis, regression analysis, financial modeling, utilization analysis, and performance measurement methodologies
✓Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with ability to synthesize complex datasets into actionable recommendations
✓Proficient with SQL, Excel, Tableau, Power BI, SAS, R, Python or similar analytics tool
✓Adapts within evolving healthcare, operational and regulatory enviornments
Knowledgeable of Medicare Advantage, Medicare Advantage Prescription Drug (MAPD), risk adjustment, value-based care, and population health management principles preferred
Ability to apply experience supporting integrated delivery systems, physician groups, health plans, academic medical centers, or managed care organizations preferred
