Senior Patient Authorization and Referral Specialist initiates a variety of external and internal complex referral processing and skilled clerical duties in support of procedural and/or surgery scheduling within the PMG specialty clinics. Communicate with internal and external medical offices and insurance companies to ensure provider referral requests are processed timely and accurately. Performs all duties in a manner which promotes team concept and reflects the mission and values of Providence Health & Services.

Required
2 years Experience in healthcare setting with increased responsibilities or customer service type role. 1 year Referral processing experience. 1 year Authorization and medical insurance experience.
Demonstrate proficiency in medical terminology.
