You’ll need
Licensure
✓Current unrestricted RN license in the applicable state required.
Certifications
✓Current Basic Life Support (BLS and ACLS) certification required.
✓Registered Nurse (Required)
✓Basic Life Support (Required)
✓Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Required)
Advanced certification such as CEN, CCRN, PCCN, CMSRN, CPHQ, or equivalent preferred.
Additional education or training in sepsis, quality improvement, informatics, or patient safety preferred.
Certified Emergency NurseAdvanced certification such as CEN, CCRN, PCCN, CMSRN, CPHQ, or equivalent preferred.
Education
✓Bachelor's Degree (Required) • Bachelor of Science in Nursing required
Qualifications
✓Patient Group Knowledge (Only applies to positions with direct patient contact)
✓The employee must possess/obtain (by the end of the orientation period) and demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide developmentally appropriate assessment, treatment or care as defined by the department’s identified patient ages.
✓Specifically the employee must be able to demonstrate competency in: 1) ability to obtain and interpret information in terms of patient needs
✓knowledge of growth and development
✓and 3) understanding of the range of treatment needed by the patients.
✓Competency Statement
✓Must demonstrate competency through an initial orientation and ongoing competency validation to independently perform tasks and additional duties as specified in the job description and the unit/department specific competency checklist.
✓Minimum of 3-5 years of recent acute care nursing experience required; emergency, critical care, hospital medicine, quality, care coordination, or performance improvement experience preferred.
✓Knowledge of evidence-based sepsis care, hospital quality metrics, and regulatory/abstraction expectations related to severe sepsis and septic shock required.
✓Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present data, coach teams, and influence practice across professional groups.
✓Ability to organize competing priorities, maintain documentation accuracy, and follow issues through to resolution in a complex health system environment.
Demonstrated experience with data analysis, audit/fall-out review, quality improvement, and multidisciplinary project facilitation preferred.
