Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists required Knowledge, Skill and Ability 1. Operating knowledge of various types of Polysomnography testing equipment with ability to troubleshoot associated technical problems and problem solve 3.

Ability to compile objective and measurable data with quality reports produced 4. Ability to inspect and review various types of information for accuracy Experience 1. One year of experience in performing Sleep Studies preferred 2.

One year of monitoring experience in sleep disorder studies and nocturnal polysomnography preferred MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT DIRECTLY USED Includes varieties of Polysomnography equipment, which acquires data: CPAP, EtCO2,data acquisitions systems. Needs familiarity with patient's hospital bed and other equipment within various rooms, i.e. ICU, OR, and Sleep Laboratory WORKING ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES Provides Sleep diagnostic services (Polysomnography, CPAP, ASV, Split night studies) to primarily adult and older adult patients, 3 nights per week.

Must be able to stand, walk and push machines of approximately 25 pounds as necessary. Requires the ability to bend and maneuver in tight areas with occasional patient positioning in bed or transferring a patient from a wheelchair to a bed (up to 50 pounds). Also requires ability to stoop, crouch and twist.

Frequently is required to sit in a dark environment. Functional physical demands include: manual dexterity and fine motor skills. The following senses will be needed for essential duties of the job: speech, vision, hearing, smell and touch. ​​​​​​​
